Expedition sailing
into the Arctic.

SKIRR Adventures runs expedition sailing in the high latitudes. The operation traces back to 1991, when its founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and explorer Chris Bonington sailed to Greenland's southernmost uninhabited tip. Sir Robin's pledge to return to the Arctic and open it up to other sailors became the company.

The fleet is two expedition-adapted Clipper 68 offshore yachts, sailing in pairs between Gosport, Iceland, and Greenland. The 68ft hulls were built to take on the world's toughest ocean conditions, with the manoeuvrability to reach anchorages where larger vessels cannot.
