The 2014 to 15 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race ran from Alicante to Gothenburg between October 2014 and June 2015. Seven Volvo Ocean 65s and the women's only Team SCA covered 38,739 nautical miles across nine legs.
It was the first edition of the race in the new one design VO65 class. The racing came down to crew, weather routing, and pure boat handling. The lead changed hands repeatedly across the legs. Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing won.
